The Raycin Garage — Vehicle Spotting

Every Raycin player builds up their own public collection of every custom Raycin vehicle they've encountered while driving around. It's fully automatic — no buttons, no app. Drive past a vehicle within 30m, it gets added to your gallery.

Go check yours at raycin.com/garage/.

What's collectible

Only custom Raycin vehicles count toward your gallery. Vanilla GTA traffic doesn't — that's intentional, because the custom set is what makes Raycin's world unique. As of writing there are ~125 custom vehicles to find, ranging from the comedic (banana_car) to the exotic (bforte) to the obscure (the half-shed gardenshed2).

How spotting works

  1. You drive into a zone
  2. The zone spawns its themed pool of vehicles
  3. As you pass within 30 metres of a Raycin vehicle, your client records it
  4. Same vehicle within 5 minutes? Counts as one spot
  5. After 5 minutes, passing it again bumps your spot count

Your client respects you — no constant scanning, no FPS hit. The check runs every 5 seconds and only when you're near vehicles.

Tips to climb the leaderboard

  1. Visit every zone — each has its own pool. Sandy Shores' dirt bikes don't spawn in Pillbox Hill.
  2. Drive at off-peak GTA hours — some zones have weights_day / weights_night variation, so different vehicles show up at different in-game hours
  3. Wait around — drivers leave, new ones spawn. Sitting in a zone for 10 minutes will cycle through more of its pool than driving straight through
  4. Watch for boosted zones — when an event is running with a linked zone, that zone spawns vehicles ~2x faster. Check the "🔥 BOOSTED NOW" badge on raycin.com/zones/

Achievements (planned)

Future expansion will add specific spotting badges:

  • Zone master — Spot every vehicle in a single zone's pool
  • Speed runner — Spot 50 different vehicles in 24 hours
  • First discovery — First player to spot a newly-added vehicle
  • Completionist — Spot every single custom vehicle (≥125)

For now, the leaderboard tracks raw counts.

Privacy + opt-out

Galleries are public by default. They show:

  • Your display name (the one you set on raycin.com)
  • Your spot counts per vehicle
  • Which zones you've spotted vehicles in

They do NOT show:

  • Your FiveM license / IP / personal identifiers
  • Your real-time location
  • Race results (those live on /race-stats/)

There's currently no opt-out — the public nature is part of what makes the leaderboard work. If this becomes a concern, talk to admin and we'll consider an "anonymous mode" option.

Privacy of spotting itself

Your client only fires "I spotted this" events to the Raycin server itself — never to anyone else. The data is stored in the same s6_raycin1 MySQL database that holds race stats, behind the same access controls.
