Big Update: Smarter Menus, Real Vehicle Photos & A New Race-Day Experience
We’ve been busy under the bonnet, and this update touches almost everything you see and click in Raycin. Here’s what’s new and why you’ll love it.
Every vehicle now has a real photo
The vehicle menu used to show stock artwork — and for our custom cars, often no picture at all. Using our own in-game photo studio tooling, we’ve captured real screenshots of all 845 vehicles on the server, including every custom and DLC car. What you see is exactly what you’ll drive. Hover your mouse over any car and a large preview pops up so you can get a proper look before spawning.
A vehicle menu that works your way
Favourites float to the top — star a car once and it’ll always be waiting at the top of the list.
Recently Spawned strip — your last five cars appear as quick-click chips. One click, back in your favourite ride.
Make the menu yours — the new ⚙ settings let you choose the menu’s size, position on screen, and even switch it to a horizontal layout. Saved automatically on your PC.
Spawn with the radio off — tired of every car blasting a random station? Hit the new Radio: On/Off button next to Custom Plate. With it off, every car spawns in blissful silence (you can still turn the radio on in-car whenever you fancy).
Vehicle spawning now lives in one tidy place: press F5 → Spawn Vehicles (or type /vehmenu).
Race day just got a proper pre-race ritual
New Staging Hold flow for races: instead of being dropped straight onto the grid, you’ll first arrive at a holding area in your race car while everyone gets ready. Then — and this is the good bit — you get free practice time on the actual track before the race. Learn the corners, warm up, find your lines. When the host is ready, everyone is called back to the grid and the lights-out start runs as normal. No more racing blind on a track you’ve never seen.
The F5 menu — your new home base
Press F5 and you’ll find plenty of new tabs:
Report — spotted griefing or track blocking? Pick the player, pick a reason, done. Staff review every report, even if you’ve logged off.
Race Records + Info — one-click links to your stats, lap times, track records, race history, the garage, and more on raycin.com.
Help — quick answers in-game, plus a big shiny button straight to the full Race Setup Guide on our website.
Settings — position the menu wherever you like and set its transparency.
And yes — links now actually work. Click Discord or raycin.com anywhere in the menus or welcome banner and your browser opens right on top of the game. (You’ll see a standard one-click confirmation first — that’s built into the game client itself and appears on every server.)
New wheels
A fresh pack of 14 new vehicles has landed — including some serious super, sport, drift and off-road machinery. Find them in the vehicle menu, photos and all. Go spawn something loud. Or quiet, now that you can.
The Help Centre got a refresh too

New: Crash? You’re Still In The Race.
We’ve all been there — three laps in, fighting for P2, and the game decides it’s had enough. Until now, a crash meant instant DNF. Not any more.
With our new Reconnect & Resume system, if your game crashes mid-race, the server holds your spot and your progress for two minutes. Just reconnect and you’ll be dropped straight back into the same race — no countdown, no restart — sitting at the last checkpoint you passed, with your lap and position intact. Your rivals will see a message that you’re back, and the battle continues.
And yes, it’s fair: the race clock never stops for you. You lose exactly the time you spent reconnecting — nothing more, nothing less. A crash can never gain you time, it just no longer ends your night.
It works automatically — but if you ever need it, typing /resume in chat does the same thing. (Drag races and Sumo are excluded — one’s over in seconds, the other has no checkpoints to come back to.)
Full details in the Race Room guide. See you on the grid — and if you vanish mid-race, hurry back. Your seat’s warm for two minutes. 🏁
See you on the grid — Race Nights every Friday, 8pm UK. Check the website to sign up. (Subject to change)
